When it comes to your wedding day, there will be much for you to think about.
Before the big day arrives, you will be stressing over the cake, the bridesmaid dresses, and your guest list. You will be scouring the stores with your partner for the perfect wedding ring, working out what ring you can and can’t afford, and perhaps even spend time researching the GSI certification of the gemstones you are considering. And there will be a myriad of other things that pertain to your planning for the big day.
And on your wedding day itself? Well, it’s supposed to be a magical and rewarding day, but chances are, you might spend more time stressing over the faulty seating arrangements, guests who aren’t where they are supposed to be, and various other wedding calamities that might threaten to ruin your big day.
And if you do get stressed, overly-busy, and tired as a consequence? Well, you might forget about the most important part of your wedding day, and that, of course, is love.
So, on this most special of days, let love be the overriding factor at your wedding.
Love your guests
Yes, your guests might do things that annoy you. Aunt Margaret might eat more than her fair share of profiteroles, and Cousin Bob might turn up with a +1 that you weren’t expecting. And some guests might be late. Some guests might buy you gifts you don’t like. And some guests might say or do things that threaten to drive you up the wall. But remember this. These are the people who have come to celebrate your big day with you. These are the people that matter in your life. And these are the people that love you. So, forgive them when they do something you don’t like. Remember that they will never be perfect. Do something to go the extra mile for your guests. And spend time with them on your big day, so they feel welcome and loved.
Love your partner
Yes, you love your partner; you shouldn’t be marrying them, otherwise. However, you might neglect him during your wedding day. When you’re flitting around from one task to the next, you might spend less time with him than he needs. You might get annoyed at him too, especially if the best man has failed in his job to dress your man in the way you wanted him to be. Your patience might wither, you might say words you regret, and when it comes to saying your vows, you might say some of them through gritted teeth! So, here’s the thing. Love your partner on your big day, and remember that it’s his special day too. Let other people busy themselves on your behalf and give him the attention he deserves. Forgive him for any wedding fashion faux pas. And when you say your vows of love, say them with sincerity, passion, and affection.
Love yourself
our special day, so let it be special! Delegate wedding tasks to others so you can let your hair down. Forgive yourself for any mistakes you might make during your wedding. Be grateful for your opportunity to get married, even if there is chaos all around you. And simply be yourself, enjoy the day, and have fun. These are all ways to love yourself, so practice self-care, and give yourself the attention you deserve on your special day.
Love: In all it’s many forms, let it be the most important part of your wedding day!
