Food can help my day or ruin t. There should be a purpose to everything that we put in our bodies. If I eat the wrong things in the wrong order I get lazy and lethargic. Both of our days are extremely long and demanding, especially with Allyson starting a new job. Lately, I have been on a routine that has me working optimally.
How to Start:
Braingear – This is the first thing we drink when we wake up. First off it tastes pretty good, much better than my regular shot of L-Carnitine and when I checked the ingredients (my drink first ask questions later policy has been put the test) that was the main ingredient. Beyond that there is a gaggle of awesome amino acids and vitamins (even some that I don’t already take). Putting it to the test:
Alert
- Usually I knock out at around 2-3 pm at work and struggle, on Braingear I was alert until 5.
- Morning energy was way up
- Improved mood all day
Breakfast:
I have a simple quick and easy recipe that I eat almost every day:
- Toast
- 1 oz of Goat Cheese
- 1 oz of Smoked Salmon
It’s not expensive and its wicked fancy looking definitely something to impress the significant other.
Snack TIME:
You really can’t go wrong with apples and peanut butter. It’s the prefect snack, I really eat it for desert like every day. The best way to make the Peanut Butter healthy is by using PB Fit.
Just a couple scoops of peanut butter powder and some fresh water then boom the perfect snack. Don’t forget your favorite fruit!
Cocktail Time:
Being busy professionals, we have trouble winding down from a long day. The best after work treat is a great cocktail. Lately the drink of choice has been a mule, but getting all the ingredients for a tradition mule after a long night at the office. That is what is so awesome about Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer! We just add the lemon/lime flavor and you don’t have to use any lime (because I always forget to buy it).
Easiest Mule Recipe ever!!!!
- 4oz Ginger Beer
- 1.5oz Vodka
Boom a mule better than most bars!
Treat Yo Self:
How can you end a day without some chocolate? La Maison Du Chocolat is the best chocolate I’ve had ever! We may have eaten an Easter bunny mid-week not on Easter (not mad about it) just because it looked so good. The Dulcie one is amazing…. We could eat three of these a night! BTW we ate the head first. What is the etiquette when eating an Easter bunny? Head first, foot first or butt first?
That’s my day, chocolate, booze, peanut butter, salmon, and Braingear. I work in-between that too!
