What? You don’t wake up looking like this?
It’s been a while since we brought the broad-lab to you, but we know that with the holidays coming that like me, you are under a lot of stress, and there’s no place that shows it more than your eyes. If like me, you’re hiding out while the crowds hit the mall, I’ve got your beauty solution. So, get on your lab coat and join me as we mix-up some homemade anti-aging cream eye creams for you.
Shea Butter and Oil Cream
This eye cream uses shea butter to soften the lines around your eyes, plus multiple types of oils that are great for anti-aging. The oils used are vitamin E oil, coconut oil, and almond oil, along with some shea butter and beeswax. If you want to add scent to it, you can add a few drops of essential oil as well. All you have to do is add these ingredients to a glass jar and place it in a pot of a few inches of water that is boiling. Leave the lid off so you can occasionally stir as everything melts and combines.
DIY Night Cream
This night cream contains a lot of ingredients, but you can definitely switch it up and customize it according to your needs. This is a night cream you can apply to your face before bed, then wake up feeling refreshed with soft, glowing, youthful skin. Some ingredients to add include raw honey, beeswax, coconut oil, almond oil, vitamin E oil, bentonite clay, and aloe vera. You can make this in a jar like the previous method or even put in the microwave or a slow cooker. You just need to get the ingredients melted so you can mix them together.
Rosehip and Beeswax Eye Cream
This eye cream uses some of the same ingredients as previous DIY recipes, but this time it is going to use rosehip seed oil to add another element, as well as using a few drops of lavender essential oil. These are added to a jar with beeswax, sweet almond oil, and raw honey. Typically, you want to add the essential oils last after the other ingredients need to be mixed. The lavender is not only going to give it a lovely scent, but it can help soothe your skin and make you feel relaxed when using it as a nighttime eye cream.
