Get Cooking: A Jewish American Family Cookbook Authors: Rachel Harkham and Doni Zasloff Thomas My father was Jewish and my ex husband is Jewish. I was raised on Southern cooking (my mother was from West Virginia, a staunch Irish catholic) and yet matzo ball soup was always boiling on the back burner. I am delighted to review this funny and informational Jewish American cookbook – it reads like a compendium of recipes for every family to try, as well as including all kinds of recipes for the ... continue reading...

DVD Reviews: Iron Sky
Iron Sky Special FX, camp humor, Nazis, goofiness and the genre background all have been major selling points for Iron Sky, and I have to say I was filled with doubt and skepticism before watching. Victoria and her 16 year old daughter Ali present a gut wrenching true account of how they created victory out of the threat of death. Similar to Lorenzo’s Oil (which had me in tears), Saving Each Other defines the torrential love of the Jackson-Guthy family and their unwillingness to allow a terminal, almost ... continue reading...
