A Possible Life: A Novel in Five Parts Author: Sebastian Faulks Similar to Astray by Emma Donoghue, but very different, I believe Faulks presents a better novel. DVD Reviews: Why Stop Now
Why Stop Now I had not heard anything about this movie before seeing it. I just dug the cast and the story design on the back synopsis. Sometimes that’s all that it takes. I usually try not to judge a book by its author and here again I had no prior knowledge of the directors. So going into this movie all I knew about it was an all-star cast and a cute premise. Hopefully that was enough to get through this film. Synopsis Time! The story of Eli Smith (Jesse Eisenberg), a piano prodigy, ... continue reading...
Book Reviews: The Lawyer’s Lawyer
The Lawyer's Lawyer Author: James Sheehan The Lawyer’s Lawyer commits its own crime – it knocks lesser crime novels to their knees. Sheehan’s Jack Tobin, Miami trial lawyer extraordinaire, twists the plot into a tornado warning – which hits down and pulls in everyone in its path. It’s that good. Jack makes lots of ... continue reading...
Hyde Park on the Hudson
It's usually Bro' B who's chatting about movies here on the broads, but this is one that I (Broad Z) am excited about seeing, and I may head over and do a little relaxing & popcorn chomping this weekend. In June 1939, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt (played by Mr. Murray) readies to host the King and Queen of England (Samuel West and Olivia Colman) for a weekend at the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park on Hudson, ... continue reading...
Book Reviews: The Death of Bees

Their neighbor, an elderly gay man named Lennie, soars. O’Donnell’s main characters shine; the peripheral figures create a writing collage of intensity: Gene and Izzie, the drug addicted, brutal parents, Valdo, the Russian drug dealer who helps them; the self righteous and horrifying grandfather, Robert T. MacDonald. And then ... continue reading...
