Making sure that you exercise it every single day is of the utmost importance.
Giving Your Brain Good Quality Information
We live in a world of fake news and questionable information all over the internet. The most important thing that we can do for our brains is to give our minds good, nourishing material. Much like you would eat healthy foods and feel the benefits in your body, you should do the same for your brain. It can take a while to find the right resources for you. In order to do this, you have got to ask yourself some very important questions. Questions like, what do I believe in? What are my passions? And how can we separate the good information from the questionable? When you start to give your brain good quality information, it sets a standard.
Start Using Your Other Hand
We tend to use one side of our brain, but if we want to start utilizing the power of the other side, one simple thing to do is to start practicing things with your non-dominant hand. If you are right-handed, you would be using your left hand for little tasks. You may be surprised as to how much you can do with the other hand. Important things to start little. Begin by brushing your teeth using your other hand. It may feel weird, but in the two minutes that you need to brush your teeth, take at least 30 seconds to try and brush your teeth using your non-dominant hand. Gradually over time, build up. It’s a simple thing but it can start to help you achieve new things. Using both hemispheres helps to unleash different approaches. For example, the left hemisphere is dedicated to logic and mathematics. The right hemisphere is associated with creativity. By practicing with your non-dominant side, you will gradually begin to build up your brain. Other activities like playing drums is another way to use both sides of your brain.
Are You Resting Enough?
We can go in with plenty of good intentions but gradually we may find ourselves struggling under the weight of our expectations, but also our lifestyle. These habits are great for our minds, but they can take a while to embed. And after a while, there will be times when we fourth the wagon. With any great skill or new habit, you have to give it time, but you also need to make sure that you are allowing enough downtime for these new habits to settle in. Rest is so important for your brain. We need to make sure that we give our minds and bodies enough downtime to process everything. In other words, get to sleep! Learning how to function on the right amount for you is crucial. It’s about looking at how you function first thing in the morning. But also think about the things that take the edge off. You may find that you are eating too much or you are just feeding yourself the wrong things. Whatever it is, start to function properly by giving yourself rest. In this working world, we can forget that rest is the proper way to recuperate.
