Every parent wants the best for their child, but sometimes you don’t really want to get the maths workbooks out. You know it’s far too boring, it’s too much like school. They don’t like it either, and who can blame them.
So here are a few fun ideas and ways to get your kids learning.
Swimming
Going swimming can be tons of fun and it is educational too. Swimming is a skill that could save your life, and potentially someone else’s as well. Every kid loves messing around in water, and with the buoyancy jacket from Konfidence the hassle, and risk of them slipping off, of arm bands has been cut out. The sooner you take your kids swimming the more comfortable they will be in the water, and happier swimmers they will be.
Get Crafty
Whether it’s cutting and sticking or painting or something like salt dough, getting a bit messy can be fun. Be inventive and make felt hand puppets and then put on a show! Your kids will love playing with you, and when they hand you that crayon drawing of you looking very angular with a wobbly head you won’t be able to hold back the feeling of pride.
Toys
Depending on what your child likes, toys can be great educational tools too. For example, if they like playing with plastic dinosaurs, rocket ships, or ponies and animals, buy books on the same subject and they will be absorbed for hours.
Create a Separate Area for Study
So they can really work hard when you need them to, try to separate the work and play space. This way they will not get distracted by toys when they need to do their school work. You could visit Edusentials for school furniture and it’s not as boring as it sounds! There are fun, child-sized shelving units, chairs and big floor cushions as well as computer desks. This way, your kids can work and play with equal vigour.
