Tints of Nature Natural Hair Color
I am one very upset (angry, enraged, sick to death) woman. I just came from a highly recommended hair salon, Curly Hair Designs in Salt Lake City. My hair is naturally curly and I have never gone to a specialist in curly hair for a cut and color. Now mind you, I have had some HORRIBLE hair coloring experiences. And I paid over $100 for the great occasion of having my hair ruined to the point of falling out and broken off. You think I would learn, no? Since I have problem hair I decided ONCE AGAIN to listen to advice and try a new colorist.
Are you sitting down yet?
- She was an hour late
- She stated that she only cut a few strands the first time to let the hair grow out so she could tell how the cut would evolve
- She supposedly used a natural color
She cut maybe 1/4th inch off of two PIECES of my hair, which badly needed a haircut. Then she put her color on my hair which had about ½ inch of gray growing out allover. When she was finished she charged me $124.00 for a “cut” which never occurred and color. When I got home, I noticed the roots of my hair, all around, were greenish. I mean, a metallic green. I had asked for medium brown. There was no brown showing just this alluring alien terrestrial green stuff that resembled…you know the word. Starts with S.
Did I say anything? No. Why not? I have no idea. I am a wuss. And I was afraid that I would get a contract out on her to dull all of her scissors (since she didn’t use them anyway).
I had had it.
My hair looks like green algae, with broken ends spiking into the stratosphere. And this happens often with “new and hip” salons that I try – and HATE. (My usual salon, Hair Designers, does a magnificent job at $56 for color and cut). Just so you know I am not the Hair Salon Nazi).
So when Z asked me if I wanted to try Tints of Nature, free from ammonia, resorcinol and parabens, and all natural I figured what did I have to lose, although I was scared to death. Tints of Nature can be bought online and at specialty stores like Whole Foods. SO. H
I was extremely happy with the results. No that is a lie. I felt ecstatic. First of all, no clumps of hair followed the water down the drain as I rinsed the color off (it did take a while to rinse it out, which is fine with me). Secondly, it didn’t sting like ammonia based colors. Third, the color covered the gray. Fourth, my hair felt well conditioned and soft. I only wash my hair once a week as it is very dry (thanks Utah air) and condition it in between every day. Tints of Nature lasted, covered the grey and did not break off my hair.and shaking, I tried 5R Rich Copper Brown and 4N Natural Medium Brown and mixed equal parts.
Like all women, HAIR is everything to me!
I can look 10 years younger, have fabulous compliments, and lose 10 pounds but if my hair looks bad, I FEEL UGLERS. And we don’t deserve to feel UGLERS.
Hats off to Tints of nature.
I will be buying you again. Also, the color did not create greenish or reddish tints to my medium brown hair, and the color was perfect. This Hair Salon Nazi was now a Product Goddess! THANK YOU TINTS of NATURE. I was ready to ….well….tear my hair out before I tried your product!!

Sounds like a bad experience. We’ve all had them. My hair used to look metallic burgundy at the roots. I saw my boss staring at it one day so now I am totally natural grey and loving it.

That sounds really awful… It’s bad enough you had to wait an hour, but to get that kind of results? I wonder how some of these saloon can still survive. I’m glad you got it fixed. I truly understand – hair IS EVERYTHING! And thanks for the info on tints…

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is important and everything.
Nevertheless just imagine if you added some great visuals or video clips
to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this site could definitely
be one of the best in its niche. Superb blog!

What color did your hair turn out combining the 5R Rich Copper Brown and the 4N Natural Medium Brown. I have dark brown hair and used 10/11 – 4CH Rich Chocolate Brown.. it looked kinda of black around the front edges, due to my dry hair. Now a week later it has lighten and looks like a chocolate brown.. nice. I love the gel lotion, doesn’t drip as readily as other dyes do, you still need to be careful. After dying my hair it looked thicker and healthier still does. I wanting to go lighter, next time I plan to try the 5R alone. should I combine with the 4N also? Their shampoo and conditioner is excellent.

With havin so much written content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or copyright
infringement? My website has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot
of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any ways to help stop content from being ripped
off? I’d certainly appreciate it.

I used tints of nature on my grey around hairline and it turned out fantastic! Better than Clairol or whatever I had used. AND the best part it’s a year later and where it’s still on my very long hair , it never faded!!!! It’s still blond. I am going to do it again now for my bday. Sprouts has it on a close out for 4.99 and I wish I’d bought all 3 boxes! No other product covered my grey as well. I used the permanent version.
