Valentine’s Day Review: Shari Wacks Adorn Yourself

Shari Wacks, jeweler to such stars as Mischa Barton, Keira Knightly, Jennifer Lopez, Mira Sorvino and Amanda Bynes, sent me a beautiful necklace to review. Thank you, Shari!

I could NOT take my eyes off of Shari’s website – for her jewelry gleams like the stars she adorns. The way she layers multiple necklaces would make even Sleeping Beauty sit up in wonder: this is an artist who understands the need for women to express their beauty through their jewelry. And while that may sound trite, it takes quite an artist to design jewelry that looks FABULOUS in layers. It is like an art collage – it looks simple. It is tempestuously difficult to design. Creative, stunning pieces fall like rainbows in an arc from Shari’s famous clients’ necks!

The piece that Shari sent me is a lovely 17 inch necklace, gold filled chain, with “cure” hand carved on a 3 karat, ½ inch wide pink topaz stones. Two small black stones close the necklace right before the clasp. Shari’s upscale (but affordable) jewelry announces itself with the details of her work. 20% of the proceeds from this particular necklace witl be donated to breast cancer research. Many of her other pieces can be customized with any word or symbol that you want.

Also from Shari’s website is “the look” that I treasure.
