I feel renewed when I drink Jasmine tea, and when the Atman Tea Company offered me a sample of their Jasmine Green Tea to review, I swooned.  I use tea not only in my teacup but often in my bathwater for a soothing, well scented bath time treat.

The ingredients in Atman Tea Company’s Jasmine Green Tea are two: Ashwagandha root and Jasmine green tea.  The ashwagandha root has a fascinating history as I read from the ATMAN TEA website”  This morning, I felt stressed so I put two ATMAN Jasmine Green Tea bags in a pot, waited until the steam poured out from the pot and held my face over the pot for a full three minutes.  The subtle jasmine scent felt amazing, and then I poured myself a cup from the steeped tea broth!  This is one of the things that I give myself in the morning to wake up and feel calm and even energized!!  I will let ATMAN tell you about ashwagandha as I had not heard of the tea prior.

The scent from blending the tea leaves with petals from the jasmine flower has been used to ease anxiety, relax the mind, and also boost mood.

Inhaling the scent as you sip a cup of tea helps your mind to relax and calms your mood. It also significantly decreases your heart rate, promotes cardiovascular health, and helps with blood pressure. Furthermore, the antioxidants found in the Jasmine Flower have shown to slow the aging process”.

I don’t know if I am aging less from the antioxidants in ATMAN TEA, but I can certainly say that I love to drink green tea regularly, and I also use the teabags as a potpourri, opening the bags and putting it around my house in lovely containers.  As I mentioned above, I also love the scent of Jasmine green tea in my bathwater.  DO NOT expect a large scent.  The scent is VERY subtle as is the taste of the tea, with just a subtle bloom of jasmine. But I leave my bath feeling soothed and sleepy.  And sometimes I just boil the teabags on my stove and allow the scent to waft all over my kitchen.  Stress flies out the door, and I feel restored and happy once again.
