Now and again life gets on top of us and it can be something that really weighs heavily on our body and minds. If you have reached a point in your life where you are struggling to get up in the morning and be productive, you are not alone. Many people feel this way at some point and today we want to try and instil some motivation into your life this week.
Take a break
The first thing you should do if life is getting overwhelming this week is to take a break and get away from it all. Taking a day off work for mental health reasons is sometimes needed, and you should take care of yourself if you find that life is getting too much. Take a day off and simply do whatever you want to do. You might go out for a walk, watch movies all day, or simply do nothing at all. Sometimes this is exactly what you need to reset and refresh your mind.
Get away from the house
If you are in need of some respite, jump in your Toyota RAV4 and get away from the house for a day or two. You can book a stay in a hotel or head to a cottage and simply enjoy a different set of walls for a couple of days and this will be a great little holiday. Sometimes the main issue in your life is being stuck in a rut, and by changing your scenery and getting a new perspective it can set you on a better path when you get home.
Write a list of tasks
Sometimes the best thing you can do to motivate yourself to be productive is to write a list of tasks you want to complete. Writing a to-do list is incredibly useful and it will give you a visual guide of the things you want to achieve on a given day, and from this you can pick and choose which tasks you’ll do that day. By ticking off a task each time it’s done it will make you feel like you are getting somewhere and this can motivate you to do more.
Complete some smaller tasks
If you have a long list of things to do in a day and you are feeling overwhelmed and cloudy, the best way to deal with this is to start with the shortest and easiest tasks first. For example, setting off laundry or washing the dishes are small tasks that will only take a small amount of time, but they will help get your brain into a productive mindset and can become the catalyst for you doing more during your day.
Focus on self-care
Self-care is so important for motivation, and a lot of the time showering and dressing up for the day changes your whole mindset. Change out of your pajamas, put some makeup on, and dress up and you will instantly feel more alert and this can do wonders for your mood and your productivity.
