Homedics Restore Clean Water System
THE WATER SCENE AT MY HOUSE
Do you know how much I spend on bottled water? Hubby, the dog and I guzzle it and every time I look at all those recycled bottles I think YUCK, I am NOT BEING GREEN. Here is the selection: do I want artesian, purified, mountain spring, Perrier, Evian, or just that $3.00 24-case of bottled water special that tastes like plastic? And the money! But I live in an apartment and I can’t install a water purifier. So when I received a Homedics Restore Clean Water System I was ecstatic! (Better than mood altering whatever, including chocolate!)
THE TECHY STUFF (all mistakes are my own, I am right brain creative!)
Restore is a new state-of-the-art and innovative in-home purification system that combines filtration and UV clean Technology. Restore is CA certified for microbiological water purification, a FIRST for a water pitcher utilizing UV technology and is Gold Seal Certified to National Sanitation Foundation standards. For the first time, an application of this unique germ killing technology is available for home use.
From Homedics website White Paper Stats:
“Restore combines UV clean technology to remove bacteria, viruses and microbial cysts within a filtration system to reduce HEAVY METALS (YES!), chlorine, and some industrial and agricultural pollutants.”
WHAT IS IT?
Restore comes in a bluish industrial plastic water pitcher that is 1-2-3 to use. The initial setup comes on a very clear instruction sheet even I could understand. Wash unit. Take the filter out of box and immerse in water for 15 minutes (might be a little black stuff coming out – that is normal). Place the filter in reservoir (you can’t miss it!). Push handle to FILL. Fill pitcher to 4 cup line (halfway) with water from the faucet. Let it filter (drip, drip, drip). Repeat adding water until pitcher is 8 cups full. Then throw the water out.
Repeat the process, put on lid (it is a little shaky for small hands, you have to kind of hold the lid on) and plug the adapter into wall and pitcher.
Press PURIFY. When the light goes off, unplug and put the pitcher in the fridge.
CHILL and spill into your glass!
I could go on and on technically but www.homedics.com will tell you better than I can. The instructions are oh so easy they can’t be messed up. Clem and I sat down, each of us with our water bowls full of clean, clean, clean tasting water. I love this product. SO EASY, so inexpensive (get it at TARGET, Ava’s fave shopping extravaganza) and I will be so much healthier! I might even lose weight, drinking fresh cool water instead of that sugary drink I guzzle (check out my frumpy to fabulous weight loss progress over at Champagne Living)! Kudos to HoMedics for the OOAK (one of a kind) water filtration cool looking and acting pitcher! And YES – it looks great in my kitchen (I know, I have that shallow stream side!)
DA KOOL STUFF
Absolutely great for students, with small cube fridges, and apartment dwellers. And at the office too! My hubby love the taste! This PITCHER that filters and UV cleans tap water to purified water with a mountain stream taste. Now that is a product I can’t live without!
5+ Rocky River Streams for HoMedics Restore! Don’t forget – this is a gift that keeps on giving and HAS to be on your Christmas list – for everyone!

Definitely good for those who don't have the space or don't want to spend the money on a larger water filtering device.

It is very necessary. There are so many different technologies. There’s multi-media filtration, distillation, reverse osmosis, and UV disinfection systems. I got my water filter systems from here…
