In Barrington, Rhode Island, where I met Broad Z (at the do park of course!), I owned a very upscale dog boutique. I searched high and low for the BEST in dog accessories because I am a dog fanatic! My little dachshund is my best friend (and I know Z loves her mini-bull terrier as much as I love my little guy). And yet, I always felt let down: Up Country, George, Walk E Woo – the collars just didn’t meet my requirements although I sold them. When I discovered Chief Furry Officer, I felt like we were destined to be part of each others’ lives~! Their collars are not only exquisite, but Clem my dachshund, who has been able to get out of every collar that I have ever bought for him, COULD NOT GET this gorgeous collar off his head! The quality of the collar was another stunner – stiched edges, thick ribbing and stunning design, with a steel buckle that will NEVER fall apart like my plastic buckles tend to do~!
The site is full of fantastic ideas as well as beautiful custom picture pet tags, silver jewelry and charms, iPhone covers of your dog or cat (CHRISTMAS PRESENT – PERFECT!). Just as an aside, Z had gotten me a present of a picture of my dachshund Clem on a ceramic charm and it was gorgeous – and then I dropped the charm! It sprinkled the cement in all kinds of pieces! I was heartbroken.

For over two decades, T.L. Garcia has been designing custom luxury jewelry. Her custom logo jewelry, pet jewelry, photo charms, logo cufflinks and key chains have placed her as the fashionista of the pet world. A lover of dogs and supporter of homeless animal shelters, Garcia was inspired to design indulgences for both pet lovers and pets after she rescued Skyler, a spunky mixed breed with a ton of personality.
Her pet inspired creations quickly caught on and Skyler moved from house pet to chief furry officer. Two additions to the CFO family, both rescues, Bailey, a poodle mix, and Heidi, a 7 year old pure miniature poodle became models for cfo and worked alongside Skyler. Sadly, in February 2009, Skyler passed on. Although she is deeply missed, she is ever present in the design room and continues to inspire.

I truly believe that being in the company of an animal makes us just plain happy.
