Broad Z, where do you find the coolest and snappiest of products to review? You are gifted, woman.
Today my brilliant red (The Tomato I call it) Pop Art Toaster (which also comes in White White, Brilliant Blue and Buff Black) arrived at my door. Of course, I ordered it in red because this is one hot tamale of a toaster! With 7 settings and 4 plates that insert into the toaster as well as a tool to pull the plates out, this toaster smokes! What are the 4 plates? Good you should ask. That means you are reading. Listen up ladies! The plates have four different designs branded onto them, and slide into the sides of the toaster (two at a time). When your toast pops up, you have a steaming cup of coffee, “LUV U”, a birthday cake or a smiley face branded on one side of your sassy toasted toast! Nothing is so adorable as to have “LUV U” staring at you out of your toast!!!
There are many different sets of plates to go into the toaster – Disney Characters, Mickey Mouse characters, Disney princesses, funny sayings (Queen of the Mansion sayings, Broad Z) – I love this toaster!@ It is not an appliance, it’s a STATEMENT. And the toaster itself is RETRO and RED (did I say that before?). This is absolutely the most unique item I have in my kitchen. And after seven months of reviewing unique items, I have a pretty smoking kitchen!!
I don’t know who thinks up these delightful items, but I have to say their whimsy and quality are remarkable. A fantastic gift for grandkids, big kids (who me?) and for friends, it just gives my kitchen such a sense of humor.
The toaster is so easy to use, the plates just slide in, and the only caveat I had was that I had to do away with my nineteen and a half grain breads as they are a little too large to have the imprint toast correctly. Better with Wonder bread or Pepperidge farm sized loaves or you can always cut the crusts off the “bigger” loaves to make them fit.
Super Duper appliance and it is so nice to get up in the morning to Smiley face and my steaming cup of coffee motif staring me in the face! I LOVE it. Can you imagine the Hostess points you will get from your tuna salad sandwiches that you serve with a motif on each? Winner, winner, winner.
