And I am the pirate with the booty! Remember tying a chain of daisies around your neck when you were a child, in total love with the FEEL of beauty? Wonderful, alluring – oh so whimsical – and full of fantasy and spring. I spent the evening gawking at Lalo Treasures catalog! Beautiful, feminine, colorful and unique, colors and creatures wafted up into my senses from every page. Just so you know, I am not a jewelry junkie. But I simply can’t describe Lalo Treasures. How about I want that necklace, that bangle, those earrings and the RINGS! Go figure Grodo, they outdid you!
The Spring and Summer 2010 line is aptly titled “The Birds and The Beads.” Orna Lalo is a graduate of the Shenkar College of Engineering and Design (Israel) and each piece is assembled in Bulgaria by Bulgarian women to allow them to live. These pieces are art, truly, constructed from resin, with the amorphous quality that rises to the eyes.
The fun lines include “Dreamin’ Fields” in a colorful palette of oranges, lime, purple, fuschia and are made with exquisite mastery. Sparking flowers, ladybugs, dragonflies – you name it – Lalo creates a fantasy world. The jewelry is large and makes a statement, best worn with a cotton tee and a pair of chinos. The evening lines are a la Ritz Carlton. “After Hours” segued into an evening lavender rectangled bead, layered across each other, with small gems embedded into the beads. Perfect with that little black dress. I could go on and on! Take a chance – go on – fall in love!
www.lalostores.com is where you can view these “attenuations” that bring spring and a smile into every outfit. I just adored them all!
