It took the French 2 years to construct Gustave Eiffel’s famed tower on the Champ de Mars, but it only took me about a half hour. Of course, I didn’t have to put up with the woes of bad weather, or three hundred injured workers (although I did get a paper cut opening the package).
While the original looms over the City of Lights, and is an imposing 1063 ft, mine is JUST as imposing at over 5 ft, since it’s in my office. I love the constant reminder that Paris is just a short distance away. Having my OWN Eiffel Tower makes me SMILE each time I look over at it.
Graphique de France has created some FUN wall fashion in the form of peel & stick wall decals that are EASY to apply and fun to look at. This is an INEXPENSIVE way to decorate any room and it’s especially great for renters who don’t want to put holes in the walls (and possibly loose their security deposit in the process). Just a cautionary note – you don’t want to put these near a heating or air conditioning vent or an overhead fan, as you might get some peeling. I have ONE piece that just didn’t want to stick to my wall for more than a few hours. I remedied that with a little glue on the backside of it. If you OWN your home and want this to be permanent, you might consider going over the entire decal with a clear polyurethane.
I’ve been more than thrilled with these great decals and since I actually moved into a new place just a few weeks ago, I now have ART on my walls all within my budget.
