Broad A: Walking in the mountains, with wind fluttering your hair and moving softly around your fingers, the compelling feeling is light and woody. As I put a drop of Leslie Blodgett’s Perfume Diaries Bare Skin perfume on both wrists, I am there. Like a shaft of sunlight through a branch, Bare Skin lifts lightly and feetingly. Not a scent that overwhelms, Bare Skin is a suggestion, not a statement. I am a woman who likes a suggestion – of makeup, the suggestion of feminity. A suggestion presents mystery and leans toward lingering feetingly. A statement is a signature scent that evokes memories and stasis.
Broad Z: Being a little poetic are we?
Broad A: Oh Z – I’m enjoying this scent so much that I can’t help myself.
Broad Z: Gee, I was just going to say I have it on and I smell good.
Broad A: Well, I was just trying to evoke the feeling that having Leslie Blodgett Perfume Diaries does for me.
Broad Z: That’s nice A – but, I smell good and that’s good enough for me.
Broad A: Oh Z, I know you’re just doing that to give me a hard time.
Broad Z: Who me? Go on A, I’m actually enjoying this….
Broad A: So if you like a touch of daylight, that resonates but does not stay, try Bare Skin. It is oh so light in scent and varies according to your body’s chemistry. On me, it is exactly what I love, suggestive and barely, not brazen. I found it delightful for a sunny day, lifting my spirits into the sky, but I wouldn’t use if for an evening fest where I would want people to say: “Oh there goes Broad A – you can tell by her scent.”
Broad Z: You do smell good A.
Broad A: A lovely caressing breeze of a scent, stop by Sephora and try it.
Broad Z: It’s so difficult to let people know about the way something smells. They need to go to go to Sephora while they’re out doing their holiday shopping. Nothing is better than indulging yourself at the holidays and Bare Skin is an AFFORDABLE indulgence that you’ll enjoy all year.
Broad A: When you are picknicking with the kids or a loved one, taking a walk on an exotic beach (or just the one down by the bay), going for a quick sail – or just rushing to WalMart, Bare Skin will provide a lift. I love the name – it represents the scent exactly. It would make a wonderful gift, I am certainly going to get a bottle for my friends, because they are vivacious women who love elegance in a spritz, while enjoying the outdoors and the romance of a moonlight.
Broad Z: Don’t forget to remind Santa and Hanukkah Harry to pick some up for the women in their lives!
Bare Skin is available in
- Bare Skin Eau de Parfum 1.7oz ($55): With emotional undertones throughout, the scent takes you from day to night with top notes of Black Pepper, Freesia and Anise that evoke the morning breeze coming through the window and the anticipation of the day ahead. The heart notes of Iris, Vanilla Orchid, Plumeria and Patchouli conjure walking to the beach and being on hot, hot sand. While the dry down notes of Sandalwood, Labdanum and Musk tell of the soft, sexy chatter between couples and the music that surrounds. Leslie recommends spraying the fragrance on your pulse points and behind your neck – the heat from these areas will permeate the scent with every breath.
- Bare Skin Solid Perfume Compact ($35): This pocket watch captures a moment of time in Leslie’s life and interprets it into a heady scent. Dab on pulse points for the ultimate exhilaration.
- Bare Skin Perfumed Body Cream ($30): To perfectly compliment the fragrance, a luxurious body cream has been created. To extend the fragrance sensation, apply the hydrating body cream after showering and follow with a fragrance spritz near your heart.
