Health & Beauty Reviews: Awakening Hands Sanitizer

With all of those nasty germs going around, change of season seems to be the time that I seem to always catch a cold. Yes, I know – it’s getting WARMER, not COLDER – but it doesn’t matter. Germs have no idea that it’s time for relaxing, going on vacation and having fun. As a matter of fact – sometimes I think they SEEK out these opportunities. How many of you have gotten sick JUST IN TIME for vacation?

Thankfully, the general public is getting the message that by using hand sanitizers we can cut down on some of the nasties that are spread via shopping carts, hospitals, etc. But those sanitizers that they put by the door when you walk in can wreak havoc on your skin. I want something that will both PROTECT me and not leave me with awful dry skin.

My good friend Rob of Awakening Skin Care must have been thinking the same thing, because he sent me one of their newest products – Awakening HANDS SANITIZER. The thing that I appreciate about the Awakening line of products is that they’re all natural and made with Dead Sea Minerals. I love the combination of LUXURY and good common sense that ALL of their products bring. If you hadn’t guessed – I’m an ÜBER fan and you’ll ALWAYS find Awakening’s full skin care line on my vanity. Yes, I do get to try other brands for reviews, but when it comes to reaching into my own pocket – I generally choose Awakening products.

Oh my, I’ve gotten off track haven’t I. Back to the HANDS SANITIZER….

It seems that Awakening has found a way to both purify the skin as well as HYDRATE and HEAL. Yes folks, we have a GREAT combination here. As with all of their products you’ll immediately be drawn to the smell – in this case they’ve used cinnamon bark as an astringent to soothe the skin and I find myself sniffing my palms after spraying. Of course there is still ethyl alcohol to KILL the germs, but they’ve formulated it to work with their Dead Sea minerals, creating that balance of healing and hydrating. Oh and unlike those gels that you buy for sanitizing, this won’t leave you all sticky and gross (Is gross a technical term when it’s not being used as a number???)

Do I like it? I SURE DO. I also like the fact that it comes in a purse size bottle with a large refill bottle, because really I need to keep it with me and those larger bottles just don’t work for me.

Shoot – I can’t stop smelling my hands – thank goodness I’m alone in my office.
