I have been deluged with skin products this month – and I’m lovin’ every second of it! Yes, I’m aging. You have to hate it, love it, or accept it. And with the help of some great skin softening products, my barometer is pointing toward acceptance (what choice do I have?). It’s tough seeing those laugh lines turning into craters on my face – and those ancient stretch marks look more like latitude/longitude lines every day! My beauty map demands GOOD PRODUCT to keep aging at bay – or at least let me be able to live with it!
AmLactin’s press release states that this moisturizer is “serious care for softer skin.” My porcupine skin loses quills over their statement – I had to have it. And being one of those ingredient snoops that I am, the first thing I did was to check out the product ingredients. (Do I really look up some of those glyceridey thingies…well, sometimes).
AmLactin, no over the counter lacky (although you can buy it over the counter) contains a clinically proven alpha-hydroxy acid, 12% lactic acid which gently exfoliates and intensely hydrates and helps return rough, dry skin to its healthy, natural state. Well, my skin needed a miracle! So I read on. “When used twice daily, the lactic acid, a naturally occurring alpha-hydroxy acid that exfoliates dead skin cells and attracts water molecules to the skin, leaves skin soft and smooth.” So my dead sea scroll skin has a chance, I thought! These words come from Dr. Alan Fleischer, chair at the Department of Dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
AmLactin is especially effective for a skin condition called Keratosis Pilris (KP) affecting 40% of the population.” If, like me, you are a major Snooper of Facts and Information, check out www.littleredbumps.com, and watch the video on “How Lactic Acid Works.” The main thing that I learned is THAT IT DOES WORK!
And, as you know on The Review Broads, that is the bottom line. OK, I hear you, readers – less facts, let’s hear the review! AmLactin works! My skin is so dry (I grew up in Miami and baked my way all through the South until I landed in Utah with the United State’s worst air quality AND searing, dry heat – it is, after all, desert country) that it flakes all the time (TMI?). And my son has psoriasis, so I am always on the lookout for MOISTURIZERS I can count on. Check out my before and after pictures (my camera takes bad pictures, but it tries). And as I used AmLactin twice daily, I noticed wrinkles softening and skin pores grabbing up this moisturizer like a starving animal. I had to apologize to my poor skin – I’ve certainly been A Bad Skin Mommy!
And that’s the bottom line. We have to love our skin – AT ANY AGE. And we have to take care of it. AmLactin Moisturizing Body Lotion left my skin gleaming. Thank goodness. Cause I really want to wear shorts this year. And don’t forget your feet – when I put AmLactin Foot Cream Therapy on my feet, the calluses sighed and softening without effort! Plus this is the creamiest of creamy lotions, and feels so rich going on.
Thanks AmLactin! A pretty please thanks for helping my skin look moist and smooth this year.

It’s a fabulous product. My dermatologists has had me use for years. It’s the only lotion that wakes my skin up every day and makes it feel great. I’m a girly girl and luv makeup and skin care. But I always come back to Amlactin. And I get compliments on my skin and am asked what I use.Thank you Amlactin
