H&B Reviews and Giveaway: Episencial – friendly skin essentials

Organic, Earth Friendly, Green, Recycled, etc.seem to be the “IN” buzzwords right now. To tell you the truth, as much as I consider myself green-friendly I find some of it to be rather confusing.

For example – 

  1. Why are so many earth friendly products packaged in containers that are NOT from recycled materials? 
  2. Why do I have to use a half of tank of gas driving to a special store just to find products that are organic? 
  3. If a company is REALLY green, shouldn’t they be giving back to the community?



I recently came upon a skin care company that HITS IT OUT OF THE PARK when it comes to putting their money where their mouth is.  Made of all natural, healthy and sustainable products – Episencial is ESSENTIAL for families who are striving to make the BEST choices for our families and the world that we live in.

I was able to test/review four of their products. You know how sometimes green products seem to under-perform? Not these.


Playful Foaming Wash

The foaming wash and bubble bath both suds up even better than those chemical based products. I was shocked at the lather and of the scent of fresh mandarin orange in the Playful Foaming Wash (which can be used both as a body wash AND a shampoo) and the Better Body Butter really IS BETTER. Not only for the planet, but for your skin as well.  This cream is VERY emollient, absorbs well and left my skin feeling soft. The only problem that I had was the dog thinking it was the real thing – he kept licking my leg (it was the scent of strawberries that appealed to him).
Living in South Florida, I especially like the fact that the Protective Face Balm is not only good for both your skin AND your lips – but it also has SPF6, giving me the protection that I need. I have a tendency to FORGET to put on SPF for day to day activities, so knowing that it’s already in my face balm makes me feel more protected.
At first glance you’d think that these products are geared JUST to kids, but Episencial has created a line of products that the ENTIRE family can use.
