My 11 year old granddaughter Isa had this to say about her Sea Pak herb butter salmon: :”It was really good and it tasted like the kid of salmon you get in fancy restaurants. I mean, it was fresh, ya know? And if you didn’t know it was frozen, you couldn’t tell the difference. It was yummy!” My 9 year old grandson Milo said, “It was really, really, really good! Salmon is my favorite fish,”
I had to search a little to find the SeaPak brand. I found it at Harmon’s, an elite grocery chain in Salt Lake City, Utah. We chose the Herb Butter Salmon because Millo LOVES salmon, but the tilapia and coconut shrimp packages were hard to turn down! Cooking was so simple, I followed the directions on the box:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
- Remove fillets from vacuum pouch
- Place frozen fillets on oven safe baking dish, coated size up and cover (I used tin foil)
- Bake 27 to 29 minutes on middle oven racj (ours took 27 minutes)
- Fillets are done when they are light pink throught and flake easily
The dish launched its’ own generous butter sauce which I poured over the fillets for serving. It was absolutely delicious! I even sent over an extra plate to my next door neighbor, Bro Ray. He came back 30 minutes later with a licked clean plate and said, “What in the world was that delicious square I just ate?” Sea Pak, I am enamored! Thanks for the help here!!
For more information about the differrent varieties of this delicious frozen main elegant meal, check out www.seapak.com. The price for two generous salmon filets which fed all four of us was $6.99! And that’s
for Wild Alaskan salmon!
The ingredients, for Moms who want an ALL NATURAL product were: salmon, butter, white wine, garlic, lemon juice, dehydrated garlic, salt, modified corn starch, spices, dehydrated onion, and sugar. Pure enough WITH NO ADDITIVES or PRESERVATIVES for this ALL NATURAL GRANDMOM of two great GRANDKIDDLES!
I am not a fan of salmon unless it is grilled (which is an option with Sea Pak entrees) or in sushi – however, this product not only LOOKS fantastic, Milo, Isa, Ray and I thought it tasted absolutely decadently delicious! And since I am not the Broad who cooks (check out Broad Z for cuisine!) I appreciated the concise cooking directions as I am not always at ease cooking fish. I felt like I was offering us all haute cuisine – at a very small price!
Sea Pak, I commend you on that elusive and seldom seen accomplishment: a frozen main course that presents beautifully and melted in our mouths. I was totally shocked to find such great taste in the frozen fish section. You will appear at my table often!
