Remember watching Peter Pan and Captain Hook? Well, Tinker Bell has become a little diva in the present! When Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure arrived, I gathered 10 year old Isa, 8 year old Milo, 14 year old Annie and we sat mesmerized and watched this little princess find the true meaning of friendship. Milo and I loved it, and Annie and Isa tittered and made fun – secretly too sophisticated to allow that they were enjoying it!
This movie has Tinker Bell in charge of the Autumn Revelry of the fairies. She has to make the autumn sepulcher to hold the precious blue moonstone to restore the Pixie Dust Tree – the source of all Fairy Magic. When all the moonstones are placed together at the Autumn Revelry, the blue moon will align with them and produce the blue pixie dust needed for the tree to stay alive and produce all the blue pixie dust for the fairies to have their powers. After all, what’s a fairy without her Pixie Dust?
When Tinker Bell breaks the blue moonstone after a fight with her best friend Terence, she has to follow an old legend, and find an ancient pirates vessel that holds the Mirror of Wishes. There is only one wish left – and Tinker Bell intends to make the journey through the golden arches, across the Troll Bridge and into the frigate’s hold – to the mirror. Her wish is to restore the moonstone.
What Tinker Bell discovers along the way is that she can’t do everything herself – she needs her friend Terence and her new friend Blaze the Firefly to help her. Delightful and pure Disney, Annie and Isa, Milo and I enjoyed the ride.
Great nostalgic Disney as always! This was a fun DVD Review to watch and write and is great to watch with the little ones or just by your lonesome – or with a good friend!
