I have to say, after viewing Grey’s Anatomy the last few days, I had a hard time feeling really enthusiastic with this spin-off series of Grey’s Anatomy. I will, however, give it my best shot.
The first scene opens with a horrifying attack on Violet, whose patient Katie cuts Violet open and extracts her baby. Violet lies dying when Pete finds her and takes her to the hospital. Addison and Naomi fight furiously to save her life – and wonder who took the baby and why. When Katie shows up at the hospital with the baby, she is talked down by the guys until security comes and takes her away in handcuffs.
Naomi and Addison work on their relationship while Violet suffers extreme emotional shock following her attack while on the mend physically. Pete tries to help. Violet gives Baby Lucas to Pete as she is trying hard to recover emotionally. A man who has stabbed his wife is treated by Cooper and Sam.
Sheldon and Pete find out who is Violet’s father. Addison and Pete decide to have a relationship; Maya, Sam and Naomi’s daughter marries Dink.
The group (Sam, Cooper and Addison) help a homeless woman by assisting her child. PTSD presents Violet from bonding with her baby. Naomi asks Cooper to buy out her share of Oceanside Wellness Group.
Once again, Violet faces emotional anguish as she is asked to appear at the trial of Katie Kent, her ex patient and attacker. Charlotte wants into the practice.
The series continues with one traumatic incident after another. While the writing popped and sizzled in Grey’s Anatomy, somehow, everything just fizzles in this series.
“The End of a Beautiful Friendship” ends Season 3, with Sam operating on a car crash patient. Cooper and Charlotte’s world rocks when death arrives and they cannot resuscitate Dell. Addison, Amelia and Fife operate on Maya, trying to keep her and her in utero baby alive. She and Dell have been in a car accident. Dell is left unobserved while the team works on Maya. Addison and Sam connect. Sheldon gets upset when Charlotte and Cooper become fiance’s.
All in all, a disappointing season for me. I did not find the series emotionally compelling; the drama did not induce much response; and I could not bond with the characters of their portrayal.
I found everything very confusing and never really figured out Who was in Whoville and Who was out of Whoville.
