I have just realized that I have and extreme resemblance to Peter Griffin lately (aside from the green pants). But that give me a great idea for Halloween. To be completely honest I have not watched Family Guy since the first time it was taken off the air. So it has been quite a while. I have seen the two Star Wars parodies and generally thought highly of them. As a Rhode Islander I do enjoy all of the references. I wonder how non-Rhode Islanders others respond to it without understanding all the references. While this was the episode
that was banned from TV, I have seen much worse on network but I assume the episode was pulled just for its subject matter.
Time for a SYNOPSIS!!
While in attendance of her college reunion at Salve Regina University, Lois sees an old companion that she experimented with, and points the friend out to Peter. Peter is shocked to discover that she had actually dated a woman. She announces that she would like to propose something to Lois and Peter. Peter expects that Lois’ friend wants to have an orgy. After Naomi arrives at the Griffin family home, she introduces her husband, Dale, with Peter still expecting to have sex with the group, and goes on to try to seduce the three. Naomi reveals she and her husband’s difficulties in conceiving a child. Naomi then asks Lois whether she will consider being the couple’s surrogate.
Lois decides to go to Dr. Hartman to have the in-vitro fertilization performed. Furious, Peter attempts to cause Lois to have a miscarriage. Quahog 5 News suddenly reveals a car crash, with Dale and Naomi pronounced dead at the scene. Lois is rapidly bombarded by whether or not to abort the baby, or put it up for adoption. In an attempt to make a decision, Lois and Peter decide to visit the local family-planning center, and ultimately decide to abort. As Peter exits the center, however, he comes across an anti-abortion rally, and is shown an anti-abortion video by one of the protesters, ultimately causing him to change his mind about aborting the unborn baby. Peter and Lois then go to war about this.
All in all. I think the episode just used its racy nature to make uncomfortable sex jokes. It really worked. There were some truly heinous jokes, all of which I thought were insanely funny.
This is an excellent and classic episode that has renewed my faith in Family Guy.

My husband is a big fan of Family Guy and would probably enjoy this one. May have to get it for him for Christmas.
