Another spellbinder by Toni Blake, All I Want Is You has everything a romance novel should have: fast prose, great plot and wonderful characters.
Christy Knight comes from a small town in Ohio, but her parents have died and her only job is her flair for taking vintage jewelry and reworking the pieces into new works of art. But she has no confidence in her abilities as an artist. So she decides, thanks to her roommate’s suggestion to find a rich guy to marry. That is the only solution she can figure out at the moment.
And then along comes Jack DuVall, a more than gorgeous handyman who helps Christy in a bleak moment when she asks him to break down her door – she needs something right away. Without thinking about what a strange request this is of her handsome neighbor, Christy is so distraught that Jack does as she asks. And then stays to repair the door. When Christy blurts out that she needs to find a rich man to marry, Jack immediately backs away from Christy – he doesn’t need a woman who wants his money, as his wife of three years took his money and seduced his best friend. The marriage lasted only three years, and Jack is reticent to be who he really is – rich – especially with Christy.
When Christy says she has to go visit her grandfather, which is the reason why she needs the money in the first place, Jack says that he will drive her to Coral Cove – and regrets it instantly. As Christy and Jack find themselves sexually attracted to each other, they both struggle: especially when they have to stay at the same dingy motel. When they discover the Crab Shack, the quirky owner, the loveliness of the locale and the motel and as Jack falls in love with Christy’s grandfather, events tumble together and all the pieces fall apart.
Will they fit the puzzle pieces together, as Jack tells Christy to go for her career as an artist and Christy starts making her own way?
Gotta read it readers. And it’s a totally cool beach read!
