I believe you all know that I am owned and adored by a little wiener dog named Clem, so when I saw the title of this children’s book, I grabbed it to read and review.
Illustrated beautifully by Serene Wyatt, It’s Hard to be Good follows the antics of Ellie the dachshund. Poor little Ellie! She loves to hear her humans exclaim Good Girl to her and she tries really really hard to be a good little doxie. BUT she states, TEMPTATION gets the best of her – she’s only a hound!
Winning and charming this is a book filled with Ellie’s adventures and how hard she tries to be good. Absolutely adorable with stunning pictures of Ellie as only as cute as a dachshund can be! Straight A’s for this illustrated picture book rather in the style of Little Golden books, romping along with Ellie – one adorable little dachshund’s trials and tribulations for its humans!
