College Student News~~ SAVE 40-90% off of bookstore prices on textbooks!
Textbook rentals! Wow, I wish I had this option when I was in college. I ate beans and rice many weeks just to pay for my college textbooks! And when I was able to borrow one, it was so marked up that my grades showed it! I was thrilled to see this website and had no IDEA that rentals are so reasonable and easy to access!
www.CampusBookRentals.com is amazingly easy to use (and peruse!). Under their Top Ten Frequently Asked Q’s:
- How do I track my books (track them right on their site)?
- How do I return my books (they send you a prepostaged envelope!)
- Can I write or highlight in my books? (yes you can – just be respectful of the next renter).
- Are your books the same as my bookstore? (Yes).
Renting textbooks frees you up to use your cash and credit cards for other student necessities (snacks, dates, light bulbs, toilet paper, another set of keys for that special someone, Godiva chocolates, a bike lock) – and you don’t have to take such a loss when the Student Bookstore buys them back! If you can’t stand to let them go – purchase them at a lower rate at CampusBookRentals! With a top notch support staff, all you need is the ISBN number, author and title.
AND – they buy your used textbooks too! A few key notes:
- Free shipping BOTH ways.
- 30 day risk free returns
- Trusted source since 2007
- Live customer support
- Largest selection in the nation
- Most flexible rental periods
No matter what your major, you’ll find your textbooks. I remember having to buy the Norton Anthology of Literature, a must for any English major. Shelling out $50 hurts, but renting it for a little more than $20 is much easier to handle (the book, as I recall was HEAVY and not as easy to handle). Z, on the other hand was a dance therapy major, which meant lots and lots of psychology books. Can you imagine her digging in to her pocketbook and spending $172 to buy Psychology by Daniel Schachter? Neither can I…if she had been able to rent it at under $35, she might have aced the class (instead of attempting to borrow her friends book and missing assignments).
AND – kinda like a blog – “There’s tons of perks. Monthly giveaways, textbook scholarships, shirts, and other prizes. Registration is free and you do not have to be a paying customer to win”.
Another thing I LOVED about Campus Book Rentals – they support Operation Smile, which supports life changing cleft lip surgeries on children whose families cannot afford it. Their commitment is in donating enough to cover a minimum of 1,000 life changing surgeries. I try to support companies that give back, because that means that they care. When I see a child with a cleft lip, I feel so helpless, and kudos to Campus Book Rentals for helping these children out!
I’m going back to college (I mean it!). I mean, a creative writing degree is NOT getting me a job in this economy! And you better believe that I will use CampusBookRentals as my source for ALL of my textbooks! CHINK CHINK! Off to eat some sushi – on my Campus Book Rentals savings!
Time for the rating number – well, CampusBookRentals gets a 4 for originality and a 5.0 for absolute necessity! GO GET ‘EM!
