Beauty Reviews: Supergoop

Yippee! Whoopeee! Happy Days are here!  I use sunscreen like other people drink Diet coke!  I never go out in the sun or even in the winter without a sunscreen base on my face.  One reason is that I was raised in Miami, FL in the days when TANS were required for the Mansion Girls and Valley Girls alike!  Having had skin melanoma at 26, I have worn sunscreen ever since!

Now I know that most people do not “test” different brands of sunscreen.  Usually I just buy what is on sale, Coppertone, etc.  I have noticed however that when I put the SPF 30 and higher on my skin like most people use moisturizers, that my makeup (Lancome) cakes up and wrinkles sprout like the crevices in mountains!  NOT a good thing people!  So when I tried Supergoop SPF 30 this weekend (the tube cream) I was ecstatic to notice that my Lancome makeup went on smoothly and my makeup stayed soft and smooth.  Utah is DRY DRY DRY and when I go up in the mountains I am at an altitude of 8,000 feet ASL, so the sun scorches even though it may not feel hot.  Also, in the snow, the sun reflects and causes even greater skin damage.  I can’t afford to acquire any more wrinkles, and not only that, I am very aware of the absolute need for sunscreen to prevent skin cancer.  I was thrilled with Spergoop and used it on all the grandkids too.  I didn’t need to reapply it, although I did use it twice on the kids (6 hours between applications). 

This is a smooth, lovely feeling cream, and yet it works non-stop like the Duracell Bunny!  Please, please use sunscreen!  So many skin cancers can be prevented!  So just grab a tube of Supergoop and go on your way!
