Beauty Reviews & Giveaway: Sweetly You

When the stress hits and you need something to slow you down that’s nice and calming – there’s nothing like taking a BUBBLE BATH. If you know me, you know that lately I’d been dealing with a hubby in the hospital (and the worry that goes along with it) over the past few weeks. Thankfully he’s home now and all is well. BUT – for the week+ that he was ill, my life was full of worry and stress.

I find that when you NEED something, it somehow comes into your life in the most unexpected way. In the midst of all of the anxiety that I had, I had also received a gift pack from Sweetly You that included Bubble Bath, Shea & Cocoa Butter Cream, Dead Sea Bath Salts and a BAG of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. TALK ABOUT PERFECT TIMING!

Knowing that I needed to relax, I drew what is probably the FIRST bubble bath that I’ve had in over 30 years. The Strawberries and Champagne scent wafting from the tub was enough to calm me RIGHT down. When I slipped in the tub full of luxurious bubbles, I found myself decompressing almost immediately. Of course, I TORE into the Root Beer Jelly Bellies whilc in the tub.

I had FORGOTTEN how wonderful soaking in a warm tub with a scent that takes you away can be. So the NEXT night I used the Chocolate Mint Dead Sea Bath Salts. My skin felt wonderful and my mind was RELAXED (although the smell of the chocolate mint had me craving my favorite flavor of ice cream).

I followed up by slathering on the Root Beer scented Shea & Cocoa Butter Cream. It smelled like the Jelly Bellies that I had scarfed down the night before. The cream was extremely thick and emolliant.

NOTE: My dog apparently LOVES Root Beer, because for the remainder of the evening he followed me around the house with his nose almost ATTACHED to my legs. He tried to lick the cream off of me. It was pretty funny actually.

As adults, we sometimes forget that these simple acts of treating ourselves can be SO important to our well being. I just want to thank Sweetly You for reminding me that something as simple as taking a bubble bath can make a difference.
