Beauty Reviews: Avon Reversalist

How do I look? REALLY? Actually I’m very thankful that you can’t peer through your computer screen and see me. Maybe it’s that I think that I still look like I did in my mid-20’s …. that is UNTIL I LOOK IN A MIRROR. Our vision of ourselves and the reality don’t always coincide (at least not at my age – 55).

As a result, I tend to always be on the lookout for the latest and greatest in skin care technology. I have my regular regime (and for those of you who read both The Review Broads as well as Champagne Living, you probably know what it is). It includes a little bit of an anti-aging product, but with every passing day (and every beat of this hot Florida sun on my skin) I seem to need more and more help.

There is ONE COMPANY that has been in the forefront of anti-aging for a VERY long time and you’ll notice that it’s NOT one of those overpriced mall brands.

Yes, indeed it is Avon. I actually sold Avon about 10 years ago (for a short while), mostly because they had a product that I really believed in and I wanted to share it with everyone that I knew. It was the Anew Line. WHY? Because Avon’s Anew products contained the BEST and strongest anti-aging ingredients.

ONCE AGAIN, Avon is a front runner in the anti-aging market with their newest line Reversalist (don’t you just love that name). Avon has discovered a groundbreaking new technology to reverse the signs of aging called Activinol. This patent-pending technology five years in the making is the key ingredient in the new ANEW Reversalist Night Cream and Renewal Serum.

I’ve had the opportunity to try BOTH of these new products and I’m delighted to say that I can see a difference in my skin. This breakthrough anti-aging technology is proven in clinical studies to increase the production of Activin, which helps skin cells repair themselves at a faster rate. The faster dead cells turn over, the quicker fresh, healthy cells can replace them leading to beautiful, younger looking skin.

I found the Reversalist Night Cream to be one of the most emollient creams on the market. The changes that I’ve noticed are subtle (mostly because I’ve been using it only a short period of time), but any change in my skin is GOOD. My skin feels particularly soft and I felt THAT difference IMMEDIATELY.

The ANEW Reversalist Renewal Serum was created to boost the results of the ANEW Reversalist Night Cream, but also works well when used on its own. This treatment helps your body produce fresh, younger looking skin 20% faster. It isn’t oily or sticky and has a lightweight silky finish that absorbs quickly into the skin. The only problem I had was with the design of the container. Although it looks very sleek and modern, I had a hard time holding and pressing the button on it, but that’s minor….because if it works I’d stand on my head to use it.

Avon did a study of users and found that

• In 1 week, 73% of women said their skin looked and felt reborn
• In 2 weeks, fine wrinkles improved up to 25%
• In 4 weeks, the appearance of fine wrinkles and discolorations was dramatically reduced, leaving skin feeling dramatically tighter

I guess I’m lucky that I don’t have any wrinkles, it’s those darned sun spots and discoloration (and the fact that I need some work around the eyes) that are MY PRIMARY concern. I’m continuing to use both of these products as I’m hoping to be one of their statistics…LOL.
