Broad Z: So, “A” I’ve started on my new diet program and I’m doing great (lost 10 lbs. already)!
Broad A: Wow, “Z” – that’s great! What are you doing?
Broad Z: I’m trying to just cut down on the snacking, eat only until I’m full, etc. You can read more about what I’m doing in my F2F series on Champagne Living.
Broad A: So, what are you doing for exercise?
Broad Z: Um – you KNOW how I hate to exercise.
Broad A: Why don’t you take Clem out and do what I do?
Broad Z: What’s that “A”?
Broad A: Go for a hike
Broad Z: Are you telling me to “go for a hike?” Hey Missy – you can’t talk to me that way. Just kidding “A.” Well, you know that I have some ambulatory problems, so I can’t do too much.
Broad A: Well I just got this new exercise DVD set in the mail from Shapely Secrets and it might be right up your alley.
Broad Z: I got that too. It’s called Shapely Secrets and it’s one of those late-night infomercial programs. It’s put together by Greer Childers. Did you see the picture of her on the box? It says she’s 61 (isn’t photoshop a wonderful thing).
Broad A: Be nice.
Broad Z: Sorry. The truth is that I had done this program YEARS ago when it was called Body Flex. Shapely Secrets is just a repackaging of the old Body Flex system. It’s good old fashioned isometric exercises, plain and simple (although Shapely Secrets calls it Diametric Resistance).
Broad A: Well, I’ve tried the system a few times, but I’m really a walker/hiker type.
Broad Z: It’s actually GREAT for someone like me. Since I have joint/ambulatory issues I’m VERY limited as to what I can do. This program is good for someone who either HATES to exercise, has limitations on what they can do physically or is just starting out.
Broad A: I agree. It certainly is an EASY program. It reminds me of some of the exercises we used to do in high school.
Broad Z: EXACTLY. Using your own body as resistance, these exercises isolate muscles and tone and firm. Even lazy old ME can do that. You’ll actually see results quickly because these are toning and firming exercises (they say 2 weeks and that’s just what I found as well).
Broad A: But, who has the time? I work all day – then I want to collapse when I get home. You know that from my weary phone calls “Z.”
Broad Z: The beauty of this program is that it takes only 7 minutes a day.
Broad A: WOW….even I can find 7 minutes to exercise.
Broad Z: Oh & if you think that exercising for only 7 minutes is not going to do anything, wait until you try it. My muscles actually ACHED the next morning (and the next and the next). You’d think that as you do these it would get easier.
Broad A: Wait a minute. How hard can 7 minutes of motionless exercise really be?
Broad Z: Think about it “A”, you’re using your muscles as resistance and building them. You get stronger and stronger and more toned….which means that you’ve got MORE RESISTANCE STRENGTH, so the program stays challenging.
Broad A: Gee and I just got stuck on that picture of Greer Childers on the cover. She’s a year older than me and looks about 20 years younger.
Broad Z: Um, “A” get yourself to a good MedSpa and you can do the same.
Broad A: Point taken. I’d rather do it all the old fashioned way, exercise, diet and staying out of the sun.
Broad Z: Good. I just want to let the readers know that if they’ve bought the old Body Flex system (or book) in the past, this is just an updated version of it. The price at under $40 for the package is about the same as buying a hard cover book, only you have Greer on screen giving you explicit instructions and timing the whole thing for you.
Broad A: Well then I think a THANK YOU is in order.
Broad Z: Yes, I want to thank Savvier for sending us each the full Shapely Secrets program to use and review. If you want to learn more about how I’m going from Frumpy to Fabulous, check out some of the posts on Champagne Living.
