Toy Reviews: Playmobil My Take Along Puppet Theater

To see the entire cast of characters, you HAVE to visit Playmobil’s site, http://store.playmobilusa.com  The characters themselves are adorable.  We have a family, a jester, a policeman and a pirate all with one of their own weapons, baskets, flowers, baskets – and along with the adorable figures are a sound device that simulates  music, applause and children’s laughter.  I asked Broad “W” (Wendy) to allow her children to play with this theater (she has 2 girls, a 4 year old, and a 5 year old) and she said, “They carry it around all day long,  They love the sounds that emit from the “sound machine” as they call it.  They fight over the flowers and the basket and all day long, the characters inhabit my house along with the happy sound of my ecstatic children!   

It is well made, easy for my kids to put the pieces onto their characters and the scenery changes create such an air of creativity!  The alligator and “giant bow wrapped present” are appearing throughout the house on a regular basis (“MOM, I lost my alligator!  MOM, where is the palm tree?  MOM, she has my pirate)!  I keep setting up different scenes for them and now they change scenery every second and make believe they are on an island FAR AWAY  from home, and they keep renaming their characters!  I GET TO CLEAN THE HOUSE IN PEACE as they are playing non-stop with their Take Along theater!

This is one of the best toys I have come across, and my kids ADORE it (now if we could just stop them from fighting over who will carry this case, I’d be Queen Mom)!  They play the music, which replicates songs in the “opening night” genre – so clever Playmobil – and I there is a little compartment in the theater that holds all the pieces – WOW!  I guess I will have to buy another one!  I looked at the line on the Playmobil site, and the My Take Along Princess Fantasy Chest is my next purchase!”  As you can see from the pictures, Wendy’s three little ones have decided that this is the TOY OF THE YEAR (I agree).

We all know the reputation and durability of Playmobil!  I love my grandkiddles to enter into fantasy and the land of their imagination!  Playmobil is a superb tool in my arsenal of GRANDMA what can we do?  answers!  Playmobil has done an outstanding job – once again – in keeping my grandkiddles and Wendy’s kiddles happy and promoting their creativity (and allowing them to play and create all on their own).  GREAT JOB, once again, Playmobil!

When I spoke to Wendy this morning she was still smiling!  “This toy is beyond incredible,” she swooned!  “They have changed the scenery all morning long!  They keep fighting over the alligator!  I LOVE THIS TOY!!!”  Well, Broad “W”, we love your review and your pictures, and thanks to PLAYMOBIL, I have a new best toy to buy for Christmas giving!
