prAna Clothes for the Fall – and All!

I received my new prAna outfit as a review product.

Suddenly the sun has set in Utah and snow is starting to fall.  I am cleaning out my closet and purchasing some needed fall and winter clothes and prAna is one of my favorite brands of women’s’ clothing.

Why prAna?

prAna knows what Baby Boomer women love and their clothes are fashionable, comfortable and elegant without being trendy and uncomfortable.  I am at the age where I want to look “great” but don’t have that size 0 mentality that I used to have (nor does my body have it, either)! I want a company that cares and that assures great fashion, fit and elegance and ease of wear.  A company that offers me comfortable clothes.  A company like prAna.

I ordered the Aya sweater in large, color auburn and the Kara jeans, in size 14, low rider, 32 inches long, cuffed.  On many of their styles in pants and jeans prAna offers an inseam choice, and since I have a long torso, I love that feature! Not only comfortable prAna FITS like a T.  I love that I can open the package, love the first look, and know that my prAna outfit will fit exactly as I imagined.

Aya Sweater (in three different fall and winter colors, auburn, cargo green, and gravel)

  • Recycled wool blend novelty cable knit
  • Button sleeve plackets
  • Sueded fleece lined cuff and hem facing for extra comfort
  • Standard fit
  • Imported

  • Shell 1: 56% Wool / 20% Polyester / 20% Polymide / 4% Other Fibers
  • Shell 2: 40% Recycled Wool / 43% Polyester / 18% Nylon / 2% Other

Not only warm and beautiful, my Aya sweater is easy to wash by hand and snuggly and warm. The border is sueded fleece and clings to my body to create a slim fit (and it is WARM).

Kara Jeans

The Kara jean is a fitted pant cut with a low rise, narrow leg, and traditional 5-pocket styling. This jean is made from organic cotton, soft stretch “Kara” denim that allows for breathability and movement. The leg can be easily cuffed or worn long.

Product details

  • Can be worn long or cuffed
  • Traditional 5-pocket styling
  • Size 4 = 28 (71 cm) inseam when cuff is folded
  • Cuff is 5 (12.7 cm)
  • Fitted
  • Low rise
  • Narrow leg

  • Organic soft stretch blend ‘Kara’ denim
  • 75% Organic Cotton / 23% Polyester / 2% Spandex

I adore my Kara jeans.  Low on hips with ample room (I am now a size 14 from a size 6 so I am so glad when a pair of jeans fit comfortably on my hips).  The best feature is the stretch fit which is perfect and looks so chic.  I keep the cuff as I love the cuffed, rugged look of jeans and boots and it fits my lifestyle look.  These jeans array in so many colors that I had a hard time deciding (I chose the indigo):

  • Cargo green
  • Coffee bean
  • Raisin wash
  • Sepia
  • Black
  • Denim
  • Indigo
  • White

But what touches my soul about prAna is their attitude to give back and love our planet and its inhabitants.  Their materials are all sustainable products: organic cotton, recycled wool and polyester, responsible down and their corporate mission ensures that they involve themselves in charities and good works such as cleaning up California beaches to sending aid to natural disaster areas.  Th is means the world to me as I read the news and feel helpless – we can all help – and prAna leads the way.  A company that CARES?  That is a company that loves its customers and its life as well as the wellbeing of our planet.  I love you back prAna!

I can’t wait to wear my new prAna outfit in the mountains!  Thank you prAna!
