Broad A: I’m an organic type of *ahem* girl. I enjoy using natural products not only around the house, but also on my skin, so I was very excited to receive Acai Berry Day Cream SPF 10.
Broad Z: Well, I wasn’t going to take part in this review, mostly because I’m not as into natural skin care products (unless they work wonders) as you are “A.” But, since they sent me a sample of the Rehydration Cream, I’ll put my two cents in.
Broad A: The first thing that I noticed about the Acai Berry Day Cream is that it smells delicious, fruity and sweet. The cucumber colored cream has small bits of organic acai berry in it, and when I applied it to my face, the odor disappeared.
Broad Z: Mine had very little scent to it. I wish I could smell the Day Cream, because it sounds YUMMY. The Rehydration Cream had flecks of black.
Broad A: The cream blends smoothly onto the face and absorbs into the skin instantly. I liked the easy feel – like I had applied a non-greasy coconut oil – and my skin felt replenished and soft. Since I live in Utah and the temperature is over 100 degrees right now and very dry, I did put sunblock over the day cream. When I washed my face in the evening, it still looked soft and smooth (well, it isn’t a miracle product – I still have wrinkles!).
Broad Z: Like you “A” I have extremely mature skin. Mature? Who am I kidding. I have sun-damaged, age spots and the skin of someone who’s retired and living in South Florida. At least I don’t have a Shar Pei face yet. I also found that I needed a LOT of the cream as I do have EXTREMELY dry skin.
Broad A: I recommend this product for 30 to 40 year olds and anyone who loves organics and natural products for the skin. Since I am a heavy applier of anything having to do with face products, the moisturizer sample lasted me about a week, too soon to see any long lasting results.
Broad Z: While I liked the product, I’d also recommend it for someone that didn’t have as damaged skin as I do. It is creamy and emollient and it absorbed VERY quickly into the skin. I just needed to use a bit more than I normally would with a non-organic product.
Broad A: I only wish the sample had been a little bit larger so I could have used it for another week.
Broad Z: “A” – cough up the $$$ – this product is SO INEXPENSIVE at only $18.00 a jar – you can certainly afford it.
Broad A: I found this to be a nice product, very emollient feeling and not greasy. If I were a bit younger, I’d probably be using it regularly.
